Footage from the DNC floor- posted by Shawn

Note from Shawn:

If you can hang with this video for at lease a minute, you can see what it's like on the floor, and see why the fire marshall had to shut it down for a while last night. The floor was extra packed because of Sen. Clinton's surprise announcement but the hall is only about half full right now. Just take a look at how jammed the walkways are. The entrance is right at the CNN booth so you see the usual cast of characters.

Shawn P Williams of Dallas South Blog on The Blogging While Brown Conference

If there was a blogging conference and no one from the mainstream media covered it, did it really happen? Of course it did. This weekend, 60 bloggers gathered in Atlanta for the inaugural Blogging While Brown International Conference of Bloggers of Color.

The event was produced by Executive Director Gina McCauley who also publishes the blog What About Our Daughters. There were established blogs represented, Black Web 2.0, Electronic Village, and Clutch. And there were new bloggers also in attendance, like LaQuitta Jones who started her Terrell Tax and Planning blog about a month ago.

The conference kicked off on Friday night with a meet and greet at Fox Sports Grill in the Atlantic Station District. There were many bloggers in the room who had known each other for years via the web, but it was the first time that they had the opportunity to lay eyes on one another.
