Andrew Chung of the Toronto Star writes another article specifically about African-American bloggers at the DNC Convention. Here are some of the highlights of Andrew’s article:

Slightly flustered, L. N. Rock (fellow Denver 7 Blogger) and his colleague peer Adrianne George, both African-American bloggers, are rushing off to do an interview. As citizen observers and writers whose medium is the Internet, you’d expect they’d be interviewing some person of interest.

Instead, in fact, the British Broadcasting Corporation is interviewing them.

Young Obama Teen Blogger Escapes Near Fatal Accident Days Before DNC and Vows To Cover Historic Nomination Even If In a Wheelchair

Felicia, Daughter of AfroSpear Blogger L.N. Rock, AKA"African American Political Pundit", will be youth blogger to the Democratic National Convention in spite of major injuries suffered in car accident.

The youngest daughter of AfroSpear member and Democratic National Convention blogger L.N. Rock, AKA ,African American Political Pundit, has been involved in a major auto accident, with serious injuries resulting. Felicia, 19, was a passenger in a car in which the driver fell asleep on Route 495 in Maryland, crossed the divider through the oncoming traffic lanes and flipped over twice to land in a ditch. Felicia is credentialed through the African American Political Pundit blog to cover the Democratic National Convention, August 25-28, as a youth reporter.

In a conversation over MSN, L.N. Rock reported, after speaking with his daughter and the driver of the car:

The car landed in a ditch, where Felicia was pinned in and had to be taken out by fire department professionals, with what I understand were the jaws of life. She was awake and was pinned in. When the fire department arrived she told them that she could not get out, was pinned in, could not move. A blanket was placed over her face as they began to tear open the door. Felicia was taken to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda Maryland and admitted. There was no alcohol or drugs involved in the accident and the driver was unharmed. In spite of the accident, says L. N. Rock, Felicia "plans to struggle to be with her dad, to videograph the Democratic National Convention, and report on the AAPP blog in a planned youth section."

Felicia says:

Barack Obama has won my "heart and mind" and I want to be there to witness history. I can only read about Martin Luther King, Jr., but I plan to be there to see Barack Obama nominated for president, even if I have to go in a wheel
chair.

Felicia will begin college this year, with offers of admission from Howard University in Washington DC and Montgomery College in Maryland. L.N. Rock says, "Her girlfriend went to sleep at the wheel." "It was a very serious accident, but Felicia will recover. She now has a full brace of her back and chest", but "she'll be home today from the hospital".

She is still determned to cover the Democratic National Convention for the AfroSpear as a youth blogger, witnessing and reporting on the historic nomination of Barack Obama. Home Run For Hillary!

Excerpt from the African American Political Pundit's piece on Hillary's speech.

Like Michelle Obama the night before, Hillary worked hard to heal the hearts and minds of her supporters and her Democratic distractors.

As you know this AAPP was no fan of Hillary after she, her husband and her surrogates began play a color aroused and bigoted campaign strategy. Some call it the "Race Card."
In her speech last night at the Democratic National Convention, Hillary was on point. She said the right things the same way Michelle Obama was able to say the right things the night before. But I must say Hillary's speech was something even more special, she went beyond saying "the right things" to speaking her heart.

At the beginning of the speech Hillary Clinton gave a somewhat disappointing words of support to Barack Obama when she stated “Barack Obama is my candidate,” ... “And he must be our president.” She expanded on her reasons for supporting Barack later in her speech.It appears from her speech that Hillary has now faced reality and understands that her notion that she had an "entitlement to the presidency' is over. She now seems to understand that Barack Obama is the nominee of the Democratic Party and there is no more reason for her to believe that Barack stole the prmaries from her. Or for that matter that she could actually steal the election from him at the DNC.

The BBC Interviews African American Political Pundit

Blogger LN Rock of africanamericanpoliticalpundit.com predicts the blogosphere will have a "significant" role in deciding the election in November. "It tells the story when you have 120 bloggers coming to the convention," he says. "Millions of people listen, watch and hear what the bloggers say. There is a disenchantment with the traditional media." He spares the BBC his criticism, saying we are "creative media." Cheers, LN.

African American Political Pundit Arrives in Denver

Arrived in Denver late last night, now going to the Big Tent and DNC to obtain blogger credentials. Will meet up with Adrainne from the blog Black Women In Europe. Both of us are scheduled to be live on the BBC today at 5:00PM at the Convention Center. Will be at the big tent most of the day. my 19 year old daughter, Felicia will start blogging tomorrow.....
